In Isaiah 40:2, God disciplines Israel with a double portion because of its grievous sin. After the discipline, He offers a double portion of mercy. He promises that His people will be recognized as “a people on whom the Lord’s blessings rest.” What a sweet reputation! Rejoice in what God has done for you and in whom He declares you to be! - TV

When we willfully exclude God’s truth from our lives, sin automatically fills that void. Stay in the Word. Keep close to your Father in prayer. Avail yourself of the counsel and prayer of the saints. Crave God’s truth, and walk in obedience. Don’t allow the enemy to breach the wall of your soul. - TV

Holy God, You alone are worthy of my highest and best. You are the God Who purchased me with the blood of Your Son. Change my will so that I’m completely devoted to living up to the high calling You’ve placed on me. Give me sensitivity to Your Holy Spirit. Let me be bold and loving as I tell the world of Your good works and great love and of the penalty of rejecting Who You are. Thank You for choosing to love me and use me. I’m rich beyond belief – all from the hands of my good and gracious God! In the beautiful Name of Jesus, amen. - TV

Does it amaze you that our holy God takes rich delight in us – a sinful, rebellious, complacent people? And yet He does! He has chosen to redeem you! The Word says He rejoices over you like a bridegroom rejoices over his bride. You are loved! - TV

“A man can no more diminish God’s glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word ‘darkness’ on the walls of his cell.” – C.S. Lewis

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.” – Psalm 19:1-4a
