God * is our rock and fortress * brings judgment to those who defy Him * provides bountifully for those who live for Him.

The path of life – a life spent with our eyes always on God – is full of joy, security, and contentment. He is our refuge in troubled times. He is the wellspring of the blessings we enjoy. He is our rest in this life and our hope for the next. There is no fear of death for the one who has already enjoyed lifelong fellowship with Him. - TV

For the Christian, the playing field is leveled at the foot of the cross. We all share the common experience of being transformed by the gospel and being given the mission of taking the good news to the world. Our dignity comes from Christ’s death on our behalf – not our wealth or possessions. This should be most evident in the church. True wealth is found in a rich spiritual life. God cares about your heart – not your “stuff.” – TV

Father, what a privilege it is to be called into Your service! Thank You for giving me purpose – and then completely equipping me “to do good works, which (You) prepared in advance for (me) to do.” (Ephesians 2:10) Please keep my heart tuned to respond to Your calls to serve others. Help me to commit to time alone with You so that the still, small voice of Your Holy Spirit can be clearly discerned. Give me a longing to hear Your heart and to joyfully obey. What an honor to receive the precious words of my God, calling me to walk in Your will by ministering Your love to the world! All praise to You – the God Who invites ordinary people into extraordinary, eternal plans! In the beautiful Name of Jesus, amen.

We who enjoy God’s goodness will celebrate and enjoy it into eternity! We are charged to make a way for the coming Savior – to share His call to repentance until the Day of His return. He will arrive with His “reward and recompense” and new names for us! “Holy People,” “Redeemed of the Lord,” “Sought After,” and “City No Longer Deserted” – this is who we are in Him! – TV

“Have you been asking God what He is going to do? He will never tell you. God does not tell you what He is going to do; He reveals to you Who He is. Do you believe in a miracle-working God, and will you go out in surrender to Him until you are not surprised an atom at anything He does? Suppose God is the God you know Him to be when you are nearest Him – what an impertinence worry is! Let the attitude of the life be a continual ‘going out’ in dependence upon God, and your life will have an ineffable charm about it which is a satisfaction to Jesus.” – Oswald Chambers

“The God Who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring.’” – Acts 17:24-28
