Happy to Meet You
Hi! I’m Tiffany – a seasoned gal with a deep love for God, His Word, His people, and His creation. I’ve been married to my boyfriend Scott for a lot of years, and I have to say – he’s my favorite! That wonderful God of ours has given us two amazing sons, two incredible daughters-in-love, and five grandpeople who’ve got us wrapped around their little fingers! As the song goes, “I’m drinkin’ from my saucer, ‘cause my cup has overflowed!” I’m Texan to the core, but the beauty of the Pacific Northwest has been known to lure me away for a few days every now and then. I love reading words, writing words, and steeping myself in THE Word. Friends delight me, enemies humble me, and God astonishes me.
My story of grace begins when I was 18 years old. Meet insecure me, relying heavily on accomplishments and accolades for affirmation. Desperate for peace and rest. And Peace and Rest were about to collide with my chaotic world. By God’s grace, a group of friends showed me that He had created me to live in and enjoy His company. I realized that I’d chosen to go my own way by searching for significance in “being good” – rather than in who He had created me to be. What ultimately pierced my heart was learning that His Son Jesus loved me so much that He had willingly left the beauty of heaven to come to earth and live a perfect life - which He would eventually sacrifice so that I could have peace with God. Jesus used the mess of my life to gently lead me to Him. He rescued me and set me free to walk in the assurance of His love and acceptance.
So what’s different now? God has given me a love for His Word and spending time with Him. Do I struggle to walk in Jesus’ footsteps? Sometimes, but every single step that I do take is in complete freedom from the insecurity of ever losing His love. I’m accepted by Him because I trust Him – not because my good behavior has earned His approval . Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” As a follower of Jesus, I’ve been given His Spirit. His fruit is daily growing within me, producing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22) Jesus has gone ahead of me to prepare a place for me, and He’s promised to return for me. In the waiting, His Spirit is transforming me into who God has always intended for me to be. Until then, He’s using my life to share His message of grace and love with others. “November Roses” is a part of that plan.
