Father, how good it is to find myself planted in the garden of my God!

The enemy may try to convince you that God has abandoned you, rejected you or closed His eyes and heart to you. Nothing could be further from the truth.

A penitent heart is never turned away by our loving God. Confession is the exposure of the layers of our sin so that the healing of our souls can begin.

God is generous and good, meeting our every need and giving to us liberally and wisely; however, every resource He gives us comes with responsibility.

My prayer has always been that God would use the words I write to be a blessing and to help you see His love and goodness.

Thank You, Lord, for always seeking me out in my distress, for always returning my feet to Your path, and for always restoring my strength and confidence in You.

(Jesus) redeemed us. Not with flowers. Not with jewelry. Not with dinner reservations at an exclusive restaurant. He redeemed us with His blood. We love because He first loved us.

Humble service to all people (most especially to those who can’t, won’t or don’t acknowledge it) is a true sign of God’s Spirit within the believer.

This is not the painting of a God in the distance. You are near, and You love us.

Nations topple, nature groans, night cometh. But I’m found in the shadow of the Almighty, “my refuge and my fortress, my God in Whom I trust.”

Lord, may I never forget the day You set me free! May the joy and light of that exact moment live on in my soul always!

…God calls His people to care and to act. Like Nehemiah, we do what we can to push back the darkness, and it starts with mourning the state of the world and seeking God’s help to make a difference.

Live ready so that when the Lord moves, you’re set to follow Him without hesitation.

What a beautiful season of wonder to reflect on all that You’ve done to bring us home! And our Hero came as a Baby, entrusting Himself to a young couple in Bethlehem centuries ago. Thank You, Jesus.

Jesus came for all, but Jesus also came for me. Let that be the driver of my priorities and commitments over the next several days.

Thank You for becoming one of us. Thank You for simultaneously being nothing like us at all.

Thank You for not only the gifts, but for the grace from which the gifts are given. We receive not because we’re entitled, but because You are enthroned.

As we count our blessings, may we not neglect the miracle of Your nearness as most precious above all.

You are in control, and we trust You with not only our today, but an eternity of tomorrows. May we live in celebration. You have been so good to us!

May our habit be to carry thanksgiving in our hearts and on our lips, for every good thing comes from You.
