Year #7 - Lucy Blossoms!

Dear Lucy,

Wow! You just knocked out Year #7! Way to go, sister! What a year - what a kiddo! You’ve seen and done a lot in the last 365 days, and Papa and I are so happy for you!

You continue to be a kind and helpful big sister, cousin, and friend. You’ve added “dog trainer” to your résumé now that fur sister Maggie has joined the family. You’re a patient, selfless playmate to Ellie and a buddy and teacher to Jackson.

Although it left a hole in your siblings’ hearts, you excitedly matched off to first grade when the school doors opened in August. You know, I always liked school when I was a kid, but I have to say that I’ve never known anyone who was furious that school was closed on weekends - until YOU! You just might be your teacher’s biggest fan! You love to read, spell, and solve math problems. You’re a good friend with a big heart and a thoughtful personality.

You’ve been busy with lots of new experiences - a little soccer, some cooking, dance classes, horseback riding, losing your first tooth, and surviving Snowmageddon in your 40-degree house! Your vibrant fashion choices are just so YOU - fun, interesting, and unpredictable! You’re a LEGO whiz with a talent for looking at objects and mentally figuring out their mechanics. (Do I see an engineer in there somewhere?!)

You’ve really blossomed, Lucy Grace! A shy, hesitant little girl has become curious, compassionate, and friendly. A heart like yours is a rare find - a heart full of kindness and tenderness. I see the light of Jesus in you, and I know it will shine brighter with each passing year.

Always loving you with all of my heart,

Milly
