God * is faithful * provides a refuge for the afflicted * will put an end to the arrogant and haughty.

We tend to think we’re so sure of what we want to make us happy, but our Creator God knows what will truly satisfy our souls. Don’t build your life on your own desires. Instead, seek the Lord, and follow His wisdom. Treasure what He treasures for a truly rich, abundant life. - TV

God changes everything about us – including our names! We experience new birth and become new creatures fit for eternity with Him. As we live out our physical lives for Him, we become “Christians” – “holy priests,” “people of the Way,” “disciples,” and “saints.” What an honor! Live up to God’s high calling on your life! - TV

Lord, what a privilege that You extend the invitation to me to have intimacy with You – to be close to You and to know You! Thank You! To see You as the One Who makes my path smooth, Who sends His angels to protect me, Who blesses me with the sweetness of my daily bread – I am grateful and in awe. To know You as the God Who cares about me, Who is tender and compassionate with me, Who is kind and loving – through these things I find You to be the God of mercy and grace. Thank You for bearing with my weak faith and for patiently teaching me moment by moment more about Who You are. To know the Lord! Amazing grace! All praise to You in the beautiful Name of Jesus, amen. - TV

God is perfectly righteous. His perfect judgment will come to pass. Because He acts in His perfect timing, we may grow weary and discouraged when we see evil prevail. Just as He preserved a faithful remnant in Israel, be one of the faithful ones now who wait with faith and assurance that He will soon make things right again. – TV

“We should forfeit our right to be offended. That means forfeiting our right to hold on to anger. When we do this, we’ll be making a sacrifice that’s very pleasing to God. It strikes at our very pride. It forces us not only to think about humility, but to actually be humble.” – Brant Hansen

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat – for He grants sleep to those He loves. Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.” – Psalms 127:1-5
