God * offers repentance and rest * shields, delivers, and rescues Jerusalem * is our Lawgiver and King.

The first miracle of Jesus came at a wedding – a large gathering of celebration and joy. He knew of a need, He directed the servants, and the need was met. A potentially disastrous social situation was averted because Jesus cared and intervened in a way that only God could. (John 2:1-11) He established a pattern for future signs of His deity – humbly helping others, speaking God’s truth with authority, and living among the people on a very real, personal level. Each miracle helped to establish His identity as the Son of God and His purpose to seek, serve, and save the lost. Have you experienced the miracle of knowing and following Jesus? – TV

We’re made righteous by the blood of Christ. Let us always be in continual pursuit of His holiness. May we be faithful, pure, and humble as we carry His love, grace, and truth into a world stained by evil. He will equip us for battle and protect us with His shield of faith. – TV

Father, You made me. You know better than anyone how my mind works. My tunnel vision has undoubtedly caused me to miss many of Your amazing works. Focusing over here has caused me to miss what was happening over there. I may pray for and expect this answer to prayer, failing to imagine that Your way of answering – the best, right, and perfect way – may be completely different. Father, help me to give You space in my heart, my head, and my schedule to work out Your plans and will. Your ways are good – always. Your thoughts are higher than mine – always. Your presence is promised – always. May I delight and rejoice in Your holy surprises, and may I learn to expect more of Your power and creativity in each answered prayer. I praise You in the beautiful Name of Jesus, amen.

In this world, wicked people blatantly serve the cause of evil. Their hearts are hard and full of arrogance. They speak and act contemptuously against God’s laws and people. That, my friends, is dangerous ground, for God will vindicate His children and defend His honor. – TV

“You make choices. They matter. They are yours. Yes, some of your choices will be selfish, immature, and foolish. But own them. Learn from them. Continue to bring your attention back to God, and watch how He changes you over time to become the sort of person who more naturally chooses the right things, the wise things. Those are the things that give life to you and everyone else in your garden.” – Brant Hansen

“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.” – Proverbs 3:1-6
